One of the reasons of my blog was to write about work and school. School is great I am currently taking 3 courses. But I really can't wait to finish the semester. I'm taking French so I am dragging in that department. But my math and history classes are good. I have good grades. I actually thought my grades weren't as good but according to my teacher grade report in Math I have almost an A and ranked 6th in my class. Way to brighten my day.
And work is great! I am finishing a Career Development program in which they give you 12 weeks of training, tours, and presentations to improve employee development such as me in the Library of Congress. The Library of Congress has a huge community. There is a lot of volunteer opportunities. And the training that I have got so far is crucial to advancing in the workplace. The tours and presentations from the Library of Congress other divisions have gave a lot of perspective and knowledge of the agency I work in.
I am really grateful to be in this program. I have 3 more weeks to go! I will update with a picture on graduation day!
