So for the day of Three Kings Day we had a blast at work. I have the pleasure of being the treasurer for the Hispanic Cultural Society at the Library of Congress. I brought in 30 pupusas which everyone ate! And we had lots more food : empanadas, platanos, arroz con gandule, and quesadillas. And I never had arroz con gandules till now. Being part of this organization is putting me more in touch with my latina side for sure! I am a proud Salvadoran girl. This being our only annual feast I cant wait till next year. As treasurer I got to help with the event planning and having responsibility with the monies. I invited a dance group called "Fiebre Latino" from my school Montomery College which my cousin Karina is the president to perform. And they danced great. I hope to be a great of a dancer as they are one day.So now we will have more meetings, maybe a cinco de mayo happy hour and waiting for Hispanic Heritage month.
It was great to be introduced as Treasury also, and especially share the spanish culture with fellow hispanic and non-hispanic collegeous con musica, comida, y dancing.
I am little more busy at work now ;)
