Thankful and blessed

So in my 19 years of life. I thank God for giving me the best Christmas yet. Celebrating his life and being with my family is a blessing. This weekend I opened presents at midnight which I always impatient of doing. I did a lot of my shopping Monday's day off and Christmas Eve. My mom and sister loved their presents. I even when out and bought myself coach perfume and a cute purse on sale for $7.19 from New York & Company.

Currently, I consider myself financially stable, wealthy with the the love of my small family here and family in my tierra(country) El Salvador. I am excited that I will be making a trip to mi pais on my own or with my mom if I convince her to go in 3 months. She's very thoughtful and rather buy gifts for her grandchildren than make herself present. But all in all I cant wait for what 2012 has to bring. I know a new Rosa will be here. I have so much to do at work, school, home and on my spring break when I take my trip to El Salvador. My second home.

Can't wait for the New Year! But enjoying life and bettering myself one step at a time.

Christmas is right around the corner, Happy Holidays to Everyone!

So on this lovely Thursday my little sister came visit me at work. It was so funny because I work in a very quiet office and we are quiet girls but we sounded so loud. We kept grabbing candy to eat since my co-workers love making me fat. It is terribly tempting I have to say. We ate at Good Stuff Eatery during lunch (who serve bomb-ass-greasy burgers) and then went to Starbucks on my other break. Yes I work for the government, and I am happy I get 3 breaks everyday. Very convenient for school. And even more because next semester I am taking 4 classes. And on my winter session I am taking a women studies course!

I have about 2 gifts left to buy which I will end up buying after Christmas: I know exactly what to get but I am broke at the moment :))..They will understand. They are two favorite people in the whole world. My best friend and someone special.

Well I have no followers on my blog, but I wish everyone Happy Holidays and to enjoy with their loved ones. It's not about the materialistic things. It about time and love you give one another.

Is it really Friday?

I am ready for the weekend where I lounge around, watch movies all day, and maybe read a book. But I am glad I had a great week and I discovered I got a B+ in my English class. Hopefully my teacher will post/round up to an A for my final grade. Well, we will see about that. I will definitely look forward to exercising on my Wii on my new Zumba 2 game I bought for myself last weekend. I also got my nails done, and got new shoes on Wednesday. Doesn’t feel too bad of a week when you’re treating yourself and making yourself feel luscious in the middle of the week. I guess since the school semester is over now officially I keep telling myself on every purchase, or nail spa visit “I deserve this”. Splurging really makes me feel relaxed and happy.

Also since this is the last month of the year I just wanted to list some New Years Resolutions.

-Lose 30 pounds

-Become a Latin Dancer

-Be more confident

 

Now to enjoy the weekend ;) and work on my never-ending goals.

Happy Winter and Break from School

1 more day and 1 more final assessment for school to be done with. And then a countdown to the holidays.  I will finally fully embrace the laziness of winter. I wonder is we will get a lot of snow these holidays. I sure hope so! The Holidays invite us to enjoy, dance, and eat! Christmas is more close than ever now.I don't ask for nothing for Christmas but family time. Being snuggled up in the couch with hot cocoa and watching movies is what I most love about it. And the gifts of course but this year I want it to be less materialistic. Me and my family put up the Christmas tree up two days ago. And tomorrow we're going to buy more decorations for the house and the tree. We got a new tree up, some glass ball ornaments, and lights. Just the star and nativity scene is needed to look divine.
 
I also can't believe it,the year is almost over, The year went passing by so quickly past my eyes. Being with family this year was the best times ever. I went to El Salvador for the first time in a couple of years. I met my baby niece Keyla who was born the day before we arrived. We left on my mother's birthday. And the reason we went was for my older brother Eduardo's wedding. So it was a very eventful trip. My brother Eduardo is lucky to have a woman like Ana Iris by his side. She has my middle name "Iris" and my little sister first name "Ana". What a beautiful coincidence. My brother says "That is why I love her so much". He very sweet, I miss him. I met a lot of good people this year. At work and school A lot of friends with talents, energy and personality that I admire. Lets see what the rest of the last month of the year bring us.
